
Working closely in a supportive role with Regional Sales Engineers, the Account Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both existing and prospective customers. This role serves as a key liaison between customers and internal departments, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and seamless coordination to meet customer requirements and expectations.
Customer service responsibilities include, but are not limited to, order entry, order modifications, expediting requests, quoting, and communicating critical order and delivery information. The Account Manager also coordinates cross‑functional communication with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and Shipping to support on‑time delivery and overall customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Communicate effectively with customers and Regional Sales Engineers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order status to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Enter customer orders into the ERP system and generate order acknowledgements Issue purchase orders through the ERP system for sales orders that include products supplied by the parent company Respond promptly to customer requests, including expedited delivery inquiries Demonstrate a working understanding of ERP system functionality and how to retrieve required information Provide courteous, professional customer support while developing and maintaining strong customer relationships Process and manage Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs), including documentation and progress tracking Engage internal company resources as needed to resolve customer issues or identified concerns Utilize customer internet portals and applications to support production planning and customer requirements Prepare spreadsheets and reports to support Sales and business operations Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries and on‑time product delivery Accurately document customer interactions and activities in the CRM system (e.g., phone calls and key communications) Perform additional duties as assigned Strong customer focus with a courteous, tactful, and persuasive communication style Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to remain composed in a fast‑paced, changing environment Strong multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
