Location: Santa Ana, California
Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite preferred; remote may be considered for a qualified candidate)
Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 base salary + commission

We are a global supplier of botanical extracts, herbal raw materials, and functional ingredients used by manufacturers in the dietary supplement, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Our customers purchase ingredients in bulk quantities for use in their production processes and rely on consistent supply, quality documentation, and long-term partnerships.
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to support and grow customer relationships across North America.
This is a business-to-business (B2B) industrial ingredient sales position. It does not involve consumer or retail product sales.
Position Overview:
The Technical Sales Representative will work directly with manufacturers, purchasing departments, and product development teams to supply bulk raw materials and ingredients. The role focuses on relationship building, project follow-up, and guiding customers through sampling, qualification, and commercialization.
This role is ideal for an early-career sales professional with experience working with manufacturing, distribution, or industrial customers who wants to grow within the ingredient supply industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop new business opportunities with manufacturers and contract manufacturers.
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
Respond to RFQs (requests for quotation) and pricing inquiries.
Coordinate product samples and follow up on evaluations.
Provide product specifications and supporting documentation.
Work with quality, regulatory, and supply chain teams to support customer requirements.
Assist customers through vendor qualification and approval processes.
Track projects, forecasts, and customer communication.
Support resolution of customer questions and order follow-ups.
Attend trade shows and customer meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of B2B sales, inside sales, or account management experience.
Experience working with manufacturing, industrial, or distribution customers.
Strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and long sales cycles.
Comfortable working with technical documentation and product information.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. The company does not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in raw materials, ingredients, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, or industrial supply sales.
Familiarity with product specifications, product data sheets, or quality documentation.
Experience supporting purchasing, quality, or R&D departments.
Background in biology, chemistry, nutrition, or food science is helpful but not required.
Not a Fit For:
This role does not involve retail sales or selling finished consumer products. Experience limited to retail stores, consumer wellness sales, or pharmaceutical representative sales alone is not considered relevant for this position.
Work Environment & Growth:
The position is ideally based onsite in our Santa Ana office to support training and collaboration. Remote work may be considered depending on experience. This role offers long-term career development into senior account management and regional sales positions within the ingredient manufacturing industry.
