Position Overview Alternative Asset Analysts support investment teams by conducting financial and market analysis, monitoring portfolio performance, and assisting with investment sourcing, due diligence, and reporting.

This role blends quantitative analysis, market research, and portfolio insight in fast‑paced private market and alternative investment environments. Analysts work closely with portfolio managers, investment professionals, and risk teams to evaluate opportunities and support investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for private equity, venture capital, credit, and other alternative investments

Assist with due diligence, including market research, competitive analysis, and operational assessment of potential investments

Support portfolio monitoring, including performance tracking, risk reporting, and P&L analysis

Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reports to support investment decisions

Collaborate with investment teams to identify new opportunities and assess market trends

Prepare investment memos, presentations, and regular reporting materials for senior management and investment committees

Track industry trends, fund activity, and asset class developments to inform investment strategy

Identify process improvements, efficiencies, and insights in portfolio and deal management

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

Understanding of alternative assets, private markets, and investment processes

Experience or coursework in financial modeling, valuation, or portfolio analysis (preferred but not required)

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; familiarity with Python, R, or SQL is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments

Interest in private markets, alternative investments, and portfolio strategy
