Position Overview Private Capital Product Specialists act as subject-matter experts for private capital investment products, partnering closely with investment, fundraising, investor relations, operations, and compliance teams. The role focuses on product positioning, lifecycle management, and investor-facing support for illiquid and semi-liquid strategies.
This position blends deep understanding of private capital structures with strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Own and support assigned private capital products across their full lifecycle, from structuring and launch through fundraising, deployment, and ongoing management
Partner with investment teams to understand strategy, portfolio construction, and performance drivers
Develop and maintain private capital product materials, including pitch books, offering summaries, DDQs, case studies, and fund updates
Serve as a product expert for fundraising, investor relations, and distribution teams
Support responses to investor inquiries, RFPs, and due diligence requests related to private capital products
Coordinate product-related activities with legal, compliance, and operations teams, including disclosures and investor communications
Monitor fundraising progress, capital deployment, and portfolio-level developments
Ensure product data and disclosures are accurate across reporting, marketing, and investor systems
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving investor demand in private markets
Assist with product governance, approvals, and periodic reviews
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of private capital strategies, fund structures, and investment lifecycles
Experience or exposure to private equity, private credit, venture capital, real assets, or alternative investments (preferred but not required)
Ability to explain complex, illiquid investment strategies clearly to internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM, investor reporting, or product management tools is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Comfort supporting senior investment professionals and investor-facing teams
Strong interest in private markets, alternatives, and long-term investing
