Responsibilities

Provide a high level of support for Financial Aid services.

Display excellent customer service skills in every interaction.

Process return to Title IV transactions and support functions.

Review Financial Aid business processes and compare with Banner system to determine functionality gaps and work with internal stakeholders to identify appropriate changes and modifications.

Performs revisions to financial aid awards according to federal, state, and Bryant and Stratton College requirements due to changes in enrollment status, requests for changes in award, and other special revision projects. Monitors individual student awards, resolves data conflicts, and/or over-awards.

Process Drops and use Banner and other third-party systems (CPS, COD and NSLDS) to report or correct student/parent information listed erroneously on FAFSA or as a result of being selected for verification by the Department of Education.

Follow up on items delaying the awarding process to ensure financial aid files are complete and ready to be originated and disbursed by the end of the semester, including communication with external and internal departments.

Report to the Financial Services Director & Manager any activity or incident not in compliance with state and federal regulations or systems guidelines.

Assist in training of new staff and maintain high customer service standards in Financial Aid; promote communication and training across Bryant and Stratton departments.

Develop and implement corrective action plans based on quality assurance reviews and audits.

Manage multiple projects, collaborate with other offices, and work with a diverse population.

Independently manage tasks, meet schedules, and utilize database concepts and reporting strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Banner are preferred.

Design processes and tools to promote productivity, reduce errors, and improve enrollment workflows.

Communicate effectively as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff; resolve programmatic issues with IT and other departments.

Evaluate current policies and procedures and recommend improvements via Banner functionality.

Coordinate annual Banner setup and related quality control with Financial Aid leadership and IT.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; must not be in default of a federal student loan.

Familiarity with R2T4 processes.

3 years of experience with BANNER.

Familiar with Microsoft Office products.

Ability to work some overtime.

Compensation Salary: $46,000 per year ($22.12 per hour). This position is eligible for overtime.
