About the Role A design-forward Phoenix architecture studio with an established hospitality portfolio is seeking a
Mid-Level Architectural Designer
to support concept development, design documentation, and guest‑experience‑driven architecture for a range of resort, hotel, spa, and entertainment-focused projects.
Phoenix hospitality work combines
desert luxury, wellness, elevated F&B, and destination‑level experiences , making this role ideal for designers who thrive in creative, narrative-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities Concept Development & Early Design
Contribute to conceptual design for resorts, hotels, spas, restaurants, lounges, and entertainment venues.
Prepare sketches, diagrams, renderings, and early presentation materials.
Collaborate with senior designers to establish project themes, storylines, spatial concepts, and visual direction.
Architectural Design & Visualization
Develop design options in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, or Rhino, generating compelling visuals for internal and client reviews.
Support planning and layout of hospitality programs including guest rooms, suites, lobbies, restaurants, spa areas, bars, outdoor amenities, and BOH spaces.
Participate in massing, façade studies, interior architecture concepts, and experiential design moments.
Documentation & Technical Support
Produce architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) during SD and DD phases, with continued involvement in CDs depending on experience.
Coordinate with interiors teams to align architectural and interior elements in hospitality-focused environments.
Assist in detailing key hospitality components such as casinos, spa facilities, resorts and hotels.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with project architects, interior designers, PMs, and consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, landscape).
Support client presentations with clear graphics, renderings, and diagrams.
Participate in design critiques and contribute to team ideation.
Construction Support
Assist in reviewing submittals, RFIs, and material samples.
Attend occasional site visits to understand construction realities and support design execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
3-8 years of architectural design experience , with a preference for hospitality, resort, entertainment, or large commercial work.
Strong proficiency in
Revit
required; experience in SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, Lumion, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Solid understanding of hospitality design principles: circulation, operational flow, guest experience sequencing, and spatial planning.
Strong visual communication and rendering skills.
Familiarity with building codes and ADA guidelines related to public and commercial environments.
Passion for hospitality design, narrative-driven environments, and experiential architecture.
Licensure not required but interest in pursuing licensure is valued.
