Location : Omaha, NE Requisition Number : Staff_14478 Department : HR Comp/Staffing/HRIS/Payroll 50000665 Business Unit : Business & Finance Appointment Type : B1 - REG MGR PROF SALARY Salary Range : $121,200 - $193,900/annual Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Remote/Telecommuting : Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site) Position Summary: Directs development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and the refinement of policies and procedures to align with campus goals and competitive practices. Directs/develops talent acquisition (staffing) strategies and implements programs and plans for recruitment, testing, and selection, and directs Payroll, HRIS, and Records Operations. Leads continuous process improvement efforts across assigned functional areas to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery. Required Education: Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Will consider additional related post high school education in lieu of required experience) Required Experience: 10 years of progressive human resources experience to include compensation and recruitment, of which 5 years must be in a supervisory capacity. (Will consider additional related post high school education in lieu of required experience) Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft PowerPoint Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state human resources, employment and compensation laws and practices, such as FLSA, Equal Pay Act, etc. Excellent supervisory skills and have the ability to manage projects and priorities with a strong emphasis on detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization. Preferred Education: J.D., Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Preferred Experience: Experience with Employee Relations and Continuous Process Improvement. Experience in an academic or health care environment. Preferred License: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Preferred Computer Applications: Microsoft Access SAP Microsoft Outlook Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated effective experience in leading the review and classification of positions and related compensation activities.
