Position Description Supports daily golf course operations by providing excellent customer service, managing tee time reservations, processing transactions, and assisting with golf shop activities. Staff members are trained to perform a variety of operational tasks to ensure patrons have a positive experience at Rockford Park District golf facilities.

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned Operational Excellence
Provide exemplary customer service to all patrons, donors, and guests.
Greet patrons upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
Register, reserve, modify, and cancel tee times.
Sell greens fees, cart rentals, merchandise, and practice range balls/passes.
Promote and explain available golf memberships and their benefits.
Follow Rockford Park District cash control policies and procedures.
Communicate raincheck, return, and refund policies clearly and professionally.
Answer phone calls and respond to questions, concerns, and comments.
Assist with golf shop operations including stocking, cleaning, and merchandising.
Support the Manager on Duty with operational needs as assigned.
Assist the Golf Outing Coordinator with events and outings as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized front desk and golf shop environment.
Become familiar with and follow the Rockford Park District Safety Manual.
Maintain working knowledge of department safety rules.
Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and hazards immediately to a supervisor.
Participate in accident investigations as needed.
Attend required safety trainings and in-service meetings.
Monitor weather conditions and support implementation of safety programs.
Assist outside attendants with golf cart cleaning and preparation when needed.
Work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education/Experience
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Flexible schedule, including shifts as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 7:00 p.m.
Basic knowledge of golf course operations and golf rules/regulations preferred.
