Position Description Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions System Administration & Workflow Management

Administers housing facilities purchasing operations from requisition intake through order completion.

Reviews, analyzes, and prioritizes purchasing requests for timely processing.

Maintains purchasing system accuracy, records, and audit readiness.

Manages purchase card activity and standing purchase orders per policy.

Develops and maintains process documentation, job aids, and training materials.

Trains staff on purchasing systems, procedures, and compliance standards.

Reporting, Data Analysis & Planning Support

Maintains purchasing tracking systems for trades, maintenance, and custodial operations.

Analyzes historical purchasing patterns and spending trends.

Prepares management reports to support budget planning and forecasting.

Assists with compiling annual procurement summaries and recurring reports.

Monitors expenditures to identify cost efficiencies and improvement opportunities.

Communication & Service Coordination

Serves as the primary point of contact for purchasing and business office inquiries.

Provides accurate, timely, and professional information to stakeholders and vendors.

Coordinates communication regarding order status and timelines.

Escalates complex or unresolved purchasing issues appropriately.

Maintains strong vendor and internal relationships.

Cross-Functional Coverage & Continuity

Provides cross-coverage for the Work Control Administration role as needed.

Maintains working knowledge of the work order system and maintenance workflows.

Collaborates to align shared procedures and documentation.

Supports business continuity and operational resilience.

Required Qualifications High school plus five years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Hourly Pay Range $19.47 - $25.29 - $31.15

Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan by visiting www.depts.ttu.edu/hr/payplan.
