Lake Windsor Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located just outside Madison, WI. It maintains bentgrass/Poa annua greens, bluegrass fairways and tees. Toro Irrigation. Position Description: The

golf course superintendent will be responsible for managing and maintaining Lake Windsor Country Club in a consistent and exceptional manner, and in-line with the maintenance specifications. The superintendent will assist, direct, and oversee all facets of the golf course maintenance operations. Reports to the Golf Branch Manager Responsible for all activities related to the care and maintenance of the golf course, equipment and clubhouse area. Assist in the development of the annual maintenance budget and operating plan. Implement the plan according to Company operating policies and procedures to ensure cost containment. Interviews, hires, trains, participates, and supervises all staff of employees for the purpose of maintaining the golf course. Responsible for the planning and implementing Safety, and Training of all employees. Plans all maintenance and projects, applying his/her agronomic and administrative expertise to achieve the golf courses maintenance standards and long-range goals as described in the golf maintenance standards. Oversees the scheduling and routing of personnel and equipment to accomplish the work. The superintendent frequently inspects the golf course and related areas to evaluate how well management standards are being achieved and to effect changes in management programs. Supervises and participates in equipment maintenance and repair operations. Establishes and implements a cleaning and preventative maintenance program for appropriate equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. Approves all expenditures and exercises cost control measures to keep, as nearly as possible, operating expenses within the approved budgets. Keeps accurate and complete records on: inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures, pesticide applications, etc. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, OSHA rules and regulations relating to chemical and fertilizer storage and disposal, employee safety, public safety, etc. Communicate regularly with The General Manager and Pro Shop Staff to inform and plan weekly activities.
