
We’re looking for an experienced
Proposal Strategist
to support high-impact business development efforts for a leading professional services organization.
About the Role The Proposal Strategist will lead and manage end-to-end proposal development efforts, partnering closely with business development and project leadership to create compelling, winning proposals. This role plays a key part in shaping strategy, messaging, and visuals to strengthen the company’s competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop proposal plans, win strategies, storyboards, and proposal schedules
Manage the RFP process from release through final submission and “checkmate” phase
Collaborate with business development and project management leaders to craft value propositions
Lead proposal kickoffs, pink team reviews, and content revisions
Coordinate proposal team assignments and oversee proposal execution
Support development of graphics, visuals, and marketing materials
Conduct go/no-go reviews and post-submittal activities, including interview preparation
Assist with negotiated contract outlines and proposal deliverables
Track and support metrics related to safety, budget, schedule, diversity, and community involvement
Support award submissions (ACEC, ENR, local and national publications)
Represent the organization at professional associations, conferences, and trade shows
Assist with booth setup and networking activities
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with company policies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
(Applicable years of experience may substitute for degree)
4+ years
of experience in marketing, business development, or sales within a professional services firm
Experience working at an
A/E firm strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with
Adobe InDesign
strongly preferred
APMP (Certified Proposal Management Professional)
preferred or equivalent
