
Role Summary
Serves as the primary Human Resources representative for the cement plant. Provides day-to-day HR support to employees and operational leadership. Ensures the consistent execution of UNACEM North America's people processes and acts as a connector between employee needs and management initiatives to support culture, safety, performance, and engagement.

Purpose Enable stable operations and a positive employee experience by executing Human Resources processes, strengthening culture, and supporting workforce needs in alignment with UNA Culture and business priorities.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for all employees and supervisors in the plant.
Support workforce planning, staffing, onboarding, and training coordination.
Guide supervisors on employee relations matters, including discipline, performance, and conflict resolution.
Manage investigations and workplace concerns with fairness and discretion.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal controls, and company policies.
Deploy all UNACEM North America HR processes, including performance reviews, engagement initiatives, and development actions.
Support communication and implementation of management initiatives in the plant.
Maintain accurate HR documentation and HRIS data.
Partner with Operations, EHS, and corporate HR to support a strong safety and engagement culture.
Identify workforce risks and escalate appropriately.
Support cultural and engagement activities, including Great Place to Work efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Three to five years of Human Resources experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Experience in employee relations, investigations, and HR operations.
Full proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Solid understanding of Human Resources practices in industrial or operational environments.
Knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and workforce documentation standards.
Understanding of safety culture and workforce dynamics in heavy industry.
Knowledge of HR systems and HR reporting practices.
Resolves a range of employee relations issues guided by HR policies and established processes.
Applies judgment to balance employee needs and operational requirements.
Navigates routine and occasionally complex matters with structured thinking and timely escalation.
Daily interaction with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees.
Regular coordination with corporate HR, EHS, Legal and Operations teams.
Influences leaders to adopt consistent people practices aligned with UNA Culture.
Direct impact on daily HR execution and employee experience at the plant level.
