Accounts Receivable Specialist

Work in the accounts receivable area of the accounting department with minimal supervision with an emphasis on reporting and maintaining timely customer billing, cash posting, and reporting. Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure timely daily invoicing, reviews and portal submissions. Match invoices to receiving documents. Daily application of customer payments and researching any discrepancies. Maintain customer records according to AR policy, including resolving customer inquiries within 24-48 hours. Prepare bi-weekly reporting for largest customer. Prepare and manage rollout tracker for project initiatives. Collaborate with internal departments to provide support for chargebacks. Communicate with internal and external customers by telephone and by email to investigate complaints, verify the accuracy of charges, or correct errors in accounts. Send customer statements. Other projects assigned as necessary Qualifications

Preferred: Associate degree or 4 years' equivalent experience Accounts receivable experience required. Knowledge and experience of accounting/financial terms and procedures. Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including passing Excel skills test prior to employment. Strong knowledge of PC and typing skills. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Be motivated, a self-starter, and a team player. Able to critically think and problem-solve. Professional with excellent interpersonal skills. Able to plan, be organized, and prioritize daily activities. Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc. Be able to lift a minimum of 5 pounds.
