Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Avaloq Consultant to join our Wealth & Asset Management team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will combine functional expertise in wealth management processes with hands‑on experience in Avaloq Banking Suite, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and finance teams to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements.
Business Analysis: Document workflows for portfolio management, trading, settlement, corporate actions, and reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
System Configuration: Perform hands‑on parameterization and configuration of Avaloq modules, tailoring solutions to Wealth & Asset Management needs.
Integration Oversight: Coordinate integration projects with external systems (trading platforms, custodians, risk engines, compliance tools) using APIs, FIX, and SWIFT messaging.
Project Delivery: Lead UAT, training sessions, and change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new functionalities.
Process Expertise: Provide deep functional insights into fund accounting, reconciliation, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of techno‑functional experience with Avaloq Banking Suite in Wealth & Asset Management.
Hands‑on expertise in Avaloq parameterization, APL scripting, and PL/SQL.
Strong functional knowledge of portfolio accounting, fund administration, reconciliation, and compliance processes.
Familiarity with financial instruments: equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX.
Technical understanding of Oracle databases, APIs, FIX protocol, and SWIFT messaging (to collaborate effectively with technical teams).
Proven ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Wealth & Asset Management domain projects.
Exposure to Avaloq upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Prior experience working in the Middle East financial services sector is a plus.
