Executive Director, Total Rewards Job Profile Compensation Administration and Performance Management Responsible for cost effective and efficient compensation administration and pay delivery – nearly $1 billion payroll; $16 million annual merit budget (including executive compensation).

Accountable for administration of centralized pay and performance management programs to include planning and managing salary administration, job evaluation and job description systems, and merit pay delivery.

Manage and administer compensation software to market price organizational positions.

Administration of performance management programs for executive leadership, middle management, and staff – 13,000 total employee population.

Provide contemporary performance management training and development (on demand and in person) for operational leaders and staff.

Design and present key pay analytics and statistical trends in support of cost management and performance targets to operational leadership.

Provide oversight and management of position budget management in collaboration with finance to ensure monitoring and control of budgeted position assignments.

Human Resources Information System and Metrics Lead upgrades and implementation of employee and leader self‑service software (Infor) to provide contemporary accessibility and capabilities.

Focus on continuous improvement of HR analytical, modeling and reporting capabilities to mine and analyze human capital data to support business and workforce decisions through design and presentation of key metrics such as turnover and vacancy, pay and benefit analytics and statistical trends in support of talent management and performance targets.

Collaborate and provide strategic advisement to HR functions on technology solutions to advance adoption/engagement and support improvement of talent management capabilities and to advance use of technology to improve responsiveness, agility and efficiencies.

Benefit Administration Responsible for cost effective and efficient management of health and welfare benefits programs – $120 million health and welfare plans and $500 million frozen pension plan and 403b plan assets of >$1 billion.

Actively manage centralized benefits programs to include strategic planning and administration of health and prescription, dental, disability, leave of absence, life insurance, vision, legal, tuition reimbursement and retirement – defined benefit pension and 403(b) and 457.

Manage on‑line annual health and welfare enrollment of 11,000 benefit eligible employees.

Measure and monitor third‑party administration to guarantee contract adherence and customer service levels and initiate recommendations for improvement.

Manage third‑party administrator audits to ensure claims accuracy, administrative compliance, and overall contract performance.

Total Rewards Collaboration with internal marketing/communication to provide for effective and timely total rewards communication through a variety of media.

Anticipate and respond to needs of operational leadership by providing education and communication of total rewards programs for use in discussions with employees.

Manage total rewards philosophy to support organizational and human resource objectives and to create understanding and appreciation for pay benefit and work/life programs.

Strategic planning, analysis and recommendations for health and welfare plans for total rewards plan design ensuring management of cost and market competitiveness.

Manage and evaluate requests for proposals or requests for information on total rewards vendors to recommend maintenance or change in third‑party administration.

Experience

7 Years Human Resources Required – With

10 Years Preferred

Experience working in large domestic organizations with more than $1.5B in operating revenue highly preferred but not required.

Experience in large, complex hospital systems highly preferred but not required.
