
Job Purpose
At University Partners, Leasing Consultants play a key role in supporting community success through resident engagement, leasing execution, and marketing outreach. This position is responsible for interacting with prospective residents, supporting current residents, and coordinating lease renewals while contributing to occupancy goals in a competitive market. Leasing Consultants represent the community brand daily and are instrumental in delivering a positive resident experience. Training for this role includes Fair Housing compliance, sales and closing techniques, and objection handling.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of models, amenities, leasing paths, and marketing areas to maintain community presentation standards
Support opening and closing procedures and uphold leasing office and clubroom appearance
Respond promptly to calls, emails, voicemails, and in-person inquiries
Maintain signage, brochures, and promotional materials
Prepare or restock refreshments and notify leadership when supplies are needed
Greet prospects, conduct tours, and guide them through the leasing process
Review applications and coordinate verification steps
Maintain accurate guest cards and leasing records
Execute timely follow-up communication with prospects via email and phone
Enter and update prospect and applicant information in Entrata
Compile and route lease files for approval and distribute completed documentation
Enter and track work orders in coordination with the maintenance teamCommunicate service delays or issues to residents and leadership
Support lease renewal outreach and documentation
Maintain accurate lead tracking and ensure records remain current
Qualifications
Professional and enthusiastic demeanor supported by experience in sales, customer service, leasing, or marketing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Customer-focused mindset with solid sales and relationship-building ability
Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to remain composed and adaptable in fast-paced environments
Availability to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed
Available to work during peak Summer – turn season
Education and Experience
High School Diploma; enrolled in college
Familiarity with Microsoft Office is expected, and experience with Entrata or similar property management systems is preferred.
