General Job Description KEP Electric is currently hiring experienced Licensed Journeyman Residential Electricians in the Fort Wayne, IN area. If you're hard-working, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality electrical service, this is the opportunity you've been looking for.

This role requires an active Journeyman Electrician License in Allen County, Indiana, and involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing residential electrical systems in both new builds and occupied homes. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills, in-depth knowledge of NEC codes, and excellent customer communication.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to scheduled and emergency residential service calls

Diagnose and repair systems including panels, breakers, lighting, outlets, GFCIs, switches, etc.

Perform home warranty repairs, ensuring homeowner satisfaction through quality work and communication

Complete service tickets accurately, documenting work performed and next steps

Ensure full compliance with NEC and OSHA standards

Maintain company vehicle, tools, and PPE in clean working order

Communicate effectively with homeowners, service coordinators, and field supervisors

Proactively identify and recommend system improvements

Minimum Education None

Minimum Years Of Experience 2-4

Specific Qualifications

Active Journeyman Electrician License in Allen County, Indiana (Required)

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Residential Service Electrician

Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnostics in residential environments

Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Must pass background check and drug screening

Willingness to work independently and travel locally within the Fort Wayne area

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 pounds

Work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
