Territory Sales Executive Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience managing a quota‑carrying sales role; ideally 3–4+ years
Demonstrated year‑over‑year quota attainment and goal achievement metrics
Strong phone prospecting experience and new business development track record
Proficient with CRM software or quick to learn
Tenure stability
High energy, enthusiasm for the industry, and a “hunter” mindset
Territory Sales Executive Preferred Background & Skills
Experience in equipment, B2B, or niche product sales
Entrepreneurial self‑stagers with an innovative approach to reaching decision‑makers
Organized, process‑driven, and able to build and manage a sales pipeline
Skilled at both outbound prospecting and virtual selling
Excellent communication and consultative abilities
Recognized credibility or reputation in current industry
Territory Sales Executive Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Build and maintain a robust equipment sales pipeline within the assigned territory to meet or exceed quotas
Identify customer challenges, consult to assess needs, and recommend strategic solutions
Generate new leads through outbound prospecting; qualify and nurture prospects
Manage the complete sales cycle from first contact to close, including presentations, negotiations, and follow-up
Perform in‑services, product demonstrations, virtual consultations, and on‑site visits as needed
Attend local and national trade shows and industry events to drive lead generation
Collaborate with internal teams on promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives
Utilize digital and social selling techniques to develop opportunities and close sales
Track and report sales metrics, maintain accurate CRM records, and manage territory forecasting
