Job Summary We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our sales team. This B2B field sales role focuses on promoting and selling custom fabricated metal parts and services to existing and prospective business customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with current accounts while aggressively pursuing and closing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.

This is a Fort Worth, TX based position requiring travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients, conduct site visits, and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, repeat business, and account growth.

Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory through cold calling, networking, industry events, referrals, and targeted outreach.

Conduct consultative sales meetings, on-site visits, and presentations to understand customer needs and present competitive proposals.

Collaborate closely with internal teams—including engineering, estimating, production, and quality—to prepare accurate quotes, timelines, and technical proposals that align with customer requirements.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales while maintaining profit margins and company standards.

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order fulfillment, including follow-up, order tracking, and issue resolution.

Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM software.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry associations, and customer events.

Qualifications

Proven experience in outside/B2B sales, preferably in metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, industrial products, steel/metal distribution, or a related manufacturing field (minimum 1–2 years).

Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and discuss metal fabrication processes (e.g., plasma cutting, beam fabrication, bending, welding, coating, assembly).

Experience reading blueprints, specifications, or technical drawings is highly desirable.

Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing new business.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels (purchasing, engineering, operations, and executive).

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a field sales environment.

Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic quoting/estimating tools.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; willingness to travel up to 60–80% within the territory (overnight travel occasional).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
