Customer Sales Guide Pay:
$24.50 - $25.50 / hour + sales incentives
As a Customer Sales Guide, you are at the center of driving dealership success by delivering sales, building relationships, and creating an unforgettable buying experience. From the first interaction to the final handshake, you'll guide customers through the entire sales process in-store, maximizing every opportunity to close deals and exceed goals.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets while delivering an iconic customer experience that keeps buyers coming back.
Own the entire sales cycle—from lead follow‑up and engagement to test drives, paperwork, and purchase completion.
Confidently present vehicles, highlight features, and match customers with the right solution to close the sale.
Collaborate with managers and fellow Guides to deliver top performance and uphold DT Way Standards.
Execute administrative tasks: deal documentation, underwriting, cash handling, inventory, titles, loan documents, and down payments.
Proactively engage customers—make calls, set appointments, and educate buyers to keep the pipeline moving.
Support dealership operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Build strong partnerships with customers, guiding them through the DriveTime Nurture and Sales processes.
Manage full sales cycle from calls to appointments to conversions.
Perform operational responsibilities: opening/closing the store, cash handling, sales, nurture activities, inventory management, audits, documentation.
Maintain expert knowledge of dealership inventory, website, financing options, and related sales processes.
Continuously develop sales competencies: negotiation, customer experience, core selling skills.
Collaborate and support team members, contributing to a positive, safe, and highly effective team.
Deliver a world‑class customer experience and introduce customers to the full DriveTime family.
Execute company directives, initiatives, and expectations while seeking feedback and participating in training.
Progress through multi‑phase learn‑and‑earn roles (Levels 0‑4) with increasing responsibility for sales, operations, inventory, and leadership.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's preferred.
3+ years of related work experience (customer service, sales, retail).
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to pass a drug test and a background check.
Physical Demands The physical demands of this job may include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and repetitive hand motions. This is a safety‑sensitive position with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
