
Indian & Forest Acres is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and safety‑driven Waterfront Director to lead one of the most dynamic and beloved areas of camp. The dates for this position are June 7, 2026 to August 13, 2026. Our waterfront program is a cornerstone of the Indian & Forest Acres experience, where campers build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills through daily success on the water.
The Waterfront Director is responsible for the leadership, safety, and overall excellence of all waterfront operations and water sports, while fostering a positive, confidence‑first environment that reflects our camp’s values and traditions.
Waterfront Programming
Wakeboarding Water skiing Tubing Kneeboarding Sailing Kayaking Canoeing Swimming and open‑water activities Additional Responsibilities
Ensure the highest standards of safety at all times by implementing camp policies, lifeguarding standards, and emergency action plans. Supervise, mentor, and support waterfront staff; create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Operate and oversee boats, docks, motors, and all waterfront equipment, ensuring proper use, storage, and maintenance. Teach and model confidence‑building instruction that allows campers to take healthy risks, try new skills, and experience daily wins. Conduct daily safety and equipment checks; promptly address maintenance and safety concerns. Maintain accurate records, including certifications, equipment logs, and incident reports. Collaborate closely with camp leadership to align waterfront programming with the mission and culture of Indian & Forest Acres. Serve as a visible, positive role model for campers and staff by embodying camp values, professionalism, and leadership.
