Overview

This is a summer-season leadership position at Herzl Camp. The Waterfront Manager is responsible for all activity on the waterfront, including the swim and boat docks. At Herzl Camp we use the waterfront from sunrise to sunset. Time on the lake is a highlight of camp for campers and staff alike. Waterfront activities include water skiing, tubing, swimming, sailing, fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing. The Waterfront Manager leads a team comprised of two area supervisors, eight full time specialists, and a large team of counselor lifeguards. The safety of all campers and staff is the primary responsibility of the Waterfront Manager. The Waterfront Manager is responsible for delivering consistently great programming in line with the mission of Herzl Camp. Camper/Staff Safety

Manage emergency procedures in the case of emergency at the waterfront Lead emergency response drills Hold an active lifeguard certification Hold an active boater safety certification Equipment Management

Manage inventory of all equipment used on the waterfront Order supplies as needed Work with maintenance team to keep equipment and facility in good working order Programming

Implement activity lesson plans for all elective activities Supervise all waterfront activities during the summer sessions and family camp Maintain a clean work environment Staff Management

Supervise boat side and swim side waterfront teams Coach and train staff on how to better lead and plan programs Ensure activities are properly staffed and supervised Area Opening/Closing

Open and set up the waterfront prior to the summer General maintenance and housekeeping throughout the summer Close waterfront down for the year after family camp
