Role Overview
The
Lifecycle Marketing Manager
owns customer communication and retention across email, SMS, and post-purchase journeys. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, ecommerce, and operations — responsible for driving repeat revenue, improving customer experience, and supporting key ecommerce functions within Shopify. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, ecommerce, and external partners to ensure the right message reaches the right customer at the right time. Key Responsibilities
Email & SMS Marketing
Own strategy, execution, and performance of all
email and SMS campaigns Build, manage, and optimize
automated flows
(welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, etc.) Develop campaign calendars aligned with launches, promotions, and seasonal moments Segment audiences based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement Continuously test subject lines, creative, timing, and offers to improve performance Maintain strong deliverability and list health Ecommerce Support (Shopify)
Assist with
backend Shopify tasks , including: Product setup and updates Collections, tags, and merchandising support Discount creation and QA Support campaign execution by ensuring storefront readiness Collaborate on improving conversion rate and customer experience Reporting & Optimization
Track and report on key lifecycle KPIs (revenue, conversion, AOV, retention, LTV) Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and increase repeat purchase Qualifications
2–5+ years experience in
email and/or lifecycle marketing , preferably in ecommerce Hands-on experience with
ESP and SMS platforms
(Klaviyo strongly preferred) Working knowledge of
Shopify backend Strong analytical mindset with comfort using data to guide decisions Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns at once Comfortable working with external partners and internal stakeholders Bonus Points
Experience in
DTC, outdoor, tactical, or preparedness brands Affiliate or influencer program exposure CRO or on-site merchandising experience Why This Role Matters
