
Readiness Liaison (Child Welfare Implementation)
NC FAST/HSBIA requires the services of a Readiness Liaison to support change management and readiness for implementation of Child Welfare (CWS) modules.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Extensive statewide travel up to 90% of the time is required in the performance of the work for this position. Travel may include some evenings and weekend days.
About the Role The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks contract resources to prepare and provide support for County Child Welfare staff during the implementation of the statewide Child Welfare Information system (CWIS). This is NOT a Desktop Support or Help Desk support position. The County Liaison acts as an integral part of Readiness and Implementation Support initiatives.
Working closely with the Readiness Lead, this position will facilitate meetings, conferences, and other activities to advocate for, as well as foster and maintain effective communication with state and county staff regarding CWIS concerns impacting or related to Child Welfare. This role may coordinate with other CWIS business, policy, and project team members to troubleshoot, replicate, and report errors and/or unexpected outcomes within the CWIS and/or elevate to management as they arise.
The position uses policy subject matter expertise regarding NC Child Welfare, knowledge of CWIS/NC FAST functionality, as well as an understanding of how counties provide delivery of services to guide new users as they navigate and submit data into the new system.
Minimum Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Change management experience
Microsoft Suite proficiency (including, but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook)
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of NC Child Welfare policy
SharePoint experience
JIRA familiarity
Travel & Compensation Travel expenses are reimbursed using the state’s protocol for submitting expenses after travel. The contractor will, at the direction of management, either ride with an employee driving a state vehicle or drive their personal vehicle and be reimbursed mileage after travel. Per diem is paid directly to the contractor and most hotel expenses are direct billed through the state.
