Golf Customer Service Inside
Supports daily golf course operations by providing excellent customer service, managing tee time reservations, processing transactions, and assisting with golf shop activities. Staff members are trained to perform a variety of operational tasks to ensure patrons have a positive experience at Rockford Park District golf facilities. Operational excellence includes providing exemplary customer service to all patrons, donors, and guests. Responsibilities include greeting patrons upon arrival and thank them upon departure, registering, reserving, modifying, and canceling tee times, selling greens fees, cart rentals, merchandise, and practice range balls/passes, promoting and explaining available golf memberships and their benefits, following cash control policies and procedures, communicating raincheck, return, and refund policies clearly and professionally, answering phone calls and responding to questions, concerns, and comments, assisting with golf shop operations including stocking, cleaning, and merchandising, supporting the manager on duty with operational needs as assigned, assisting the golf outing coordinator with events and outings as needed, maintaining a clean, organized front desk and golf shop environment, becoming familiar with and following the Rockford Park District Safety Manual, maintaining working knowledge of department safety rules, reporting accidents, unsafe conditions, and hazards immediately to a supervisor, participating in accident investigations as needed, attending required safety trainings and in-service meetings, monitoring weather conditions and supporting implementation of safety programs, assisting outside attendants with golf cart cleaning and preparation when needed, and working variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
