Location Minneapolis
Salary / Compensation $18-$23/hourly
Description This is an ideal opportunity for a recent architecture, interior design, or industrial design graduate who wants real-world experience, exposure to exciting commercial projects, and a clear path for professional growth. No prior experience needed. You’ll join a fast‑growing design company that focuses on commercial projects. You’ll be part of projects ranging from modern office spaces and experiential environments to large‑scale themed installations. If you enjoy design, working with drawings, thinking spatially, and turning design intent into real, buildable solutions, this role is for you. You’ll be working directly with drawings, 3D models, and real commercial projects from day one, surrounded by peers who are early in their careers and all learning together.
What You’ll Do
Translate architectural drawings into buildable design solutions and accurate project scopes.
Open architectural drawing sets (plans, sections, elevations).
Identify what the client is asking for and how design elements integrate into the space.
Use Rhino (training provided) to design and model areas.
Calculate quantities and assemble project layouts that support accurate pricing.
Collaborate closely with teammates to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Learn internal systems and workflows used to move projects from concept to execution.
Training & Support Provided This is an entry‑level position, so you’ll start with a hands‑on training period where you’ll learn more about design and how design gets built in the real world.
Who This Role Is Perfect For
Recently graduated (or about to graduate) from a design‑related program, or have some professional design/drafting experience.
Comfortable opening drawings and understanding what you’re looking at.
Enjoy being detail‑oriented and organized.
Want a professional, office environment with mentorship and collaboration.
Looking for a strong foundation for your career.
Want exposure to real projects, not just theoretical design work.
No professional experience is required, your education and curiosity matter more than your resume.
Requirements
Degree (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s) in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Technology or a closely related field.
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established processes.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience with Rhino, AutoCAD, or other 3D/CAD software is a plus.
