Posted Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM TITLE: SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT (SVP) – CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER STATUS: EXEMPT REPORT TO: SEVP – CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION JOB CODE: 11996 PAY RANGE: $319,200.00 - $390,000.00 ANNUALLY POSITION AND PURPOSE The Senior Vice President (SVP) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving strategic initiatives, overseeing major business functions, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall mission and goals. The SVP provides visionary leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver sustainable growth and organizational excellence. The Senior Vice President – Chief Credit Officer leads Golden 1’s credit risk strategy, overseeing loan policies, underwriting, and portfolio quality to ensure compliance and minimize losses, requiring strong financial analysis, leadership, and regulatory knowledge to guide executive decisions, and manage the credit team.This role also oversees the development, execution, and continuous improvement of lending strategies to ensure the delivery of exceptional member experience, strong financial results, and sound asset quality. The SVP will develop credit risk frameworks, oversee loan approvals, and act as the ultimate authority on the bank's lending integrity and compliance with regulations. The SVP – Chief Credit Officer provides strategic oversight of all lending origination functions—including lending origination operations for consumer, mortgage, and business as well as credit administration. This position also ensures all credit policies, practices, and performance standards align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this role drives innovation, operational excellence, and disciplined credit risk management to support sustainable profitability, competitive positioning, and long ‑ term organizational success. This role is responsible for shaping and executing Golden 1’s credit vision, ensuring the safety, soundness, and growth of the loan portfolio while delivering an exceptional member experience. THE WORK Provide executive leadership for all commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending origination business units, ensuring they meet or exceed member service expectations, service level agreements, credit quality and other key performance indicators to ensure Golden 1 meets or exceeds its Strategic Goals. Develop, implement, and enforce loan policies, underwriting standards, and risk tolerance in alignment with business goals and regulations. Oversee the entire credit risk management process, including portfolio monitoring, loan review, and impairment analysis. Manage the overall quality, approval, documentation, and administration of the loan portfolio to ensure safety and soundness. Oversee the evaluation, design, and enhancement of lending products, delivery channels, member experience, and operational functions including lending underwriting, fulfillment to ensure the delivery of high-quality lending experiences to our members. Creates and implements short-term and long-term strategies to drive loan portfolio performance and profitability loan pricing, fee income, and loans sales. Ensure lending and other relevant policies and procedures are developed, documented, updated, and followed, meeting all necessary legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, credit risk appetite requirements, and other governance policies. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position. Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others through your words and actions, ensuring positive employee morale throughout Golden 1, and embracing our mission, vision and core values. Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union’s risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations. The ability to develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the credit unions’ short and long-term vision. This includes market analysis and identifying new business opportunities to drive growth. Collaboration:

Working effectively with other senior executives, departments, and key stakeholders to create aligned, effective business strategies. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

:

Bachelor's Degree in related field plus equivalent work experience. EXPERIENCE

:

Ten (10) years in credit risk management for commercial, mortgage and consumer lending, credit administration, or similar role with s even (7) years or more of financial institution management with an emphasis in commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

: Advanced knowledge of credit risk management Extensive understanding of lending regulations Deep expertise in credit union operations and financial management A deep understanding of the company's market dynamics, competitive landscape, industry trends, and business functions. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and investment decision-making. Knowledge of change management, talent development, and performance optimization. Ability to inspire, align, and mobilize cross-functional teams toward shared goals. Capacity to anticipate market shifts, identify opportunities, and make data-informed decisions Drive transformation and adapt to evolving business environments. Ability to translate strategy into action to deliver measurable results Drives change and foster agility, accountability, and results through inclusive leadership. Proven track record of leading teams and aligning culture and engagement strategies to achieve business objectives. Strong interpersonal communications, presentation, and coaching skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and employees at all levels. Familiarity with technology and systems to optimize workflow efficiency. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as Golden 1 policies and guidelines. WORKING CONDITIONS Work time includes weekend and after-hours time, based on organizational needs. This position works in-office where working conditions, lighting, temperature, audio, and workspace are all sufficient. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work requires the ability to constantly operate a computer and the ability to read, type, and communicate. Work may require the ability to move work-related supplies weighing up to 10-15 pounds.
