
Think is seeking an experienced Interim Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and vendor management. This assignment is designed for a self-motivated professional capable of operating independently to ensure supply continuity, optimize costs, and support manufacturing operations during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, specialty chemicals, and ingredients used in fragrance production.
Manage the full purchasing lifecycle to ensure the timely availability of materials for manufacturing and operational schedules.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and drive cost optimization.
Coordinate closely with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align material availability with production demands.
Manage and strengthen vendor relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for supplier inquiries.
Lead negotiations regarding pricing, commercial terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including supplier records, contracts, and sourcing logs.
Qualifications
Direct experience within the fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, or specialty chemicals industries.
Extensive experience in sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Exceptional negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Previous experience supporting procurement within a high-volume manufacturing or production-oriented environment.
