
Health & Benefits Sales Professional

We are seeking a talented Sales Professional to join our Health and Benefits Sales team at Mercer. This role is based out of the New York City office and is a hybrid role requiring at least three days in the office each week.
Responsibilities
Execute sales goals by maintaining a large book of complex or high‑yield accounts, conducting frequent sales presentations, calls, and meetings.
Apply market and internal service insights to cold calls, engage potential clients, generate interest, and schedule meetings or presentations.
Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that address complex prospect needs and communicate the business value of internal services.
Lead complex account processes from identification through closing, including pricing negotiations and product discussions.
Research relevant markets and industries to identify potential relationship needs, target new accounts, and expand existing accounts.
Interface frequently with account representatives and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction and uphold promises.
Maintain professional relationships and introduce new products, facilitating deeper market penetration and cross‑sale opportunities.
Participate in professional organizations, attend conferences, and represent the company to expand and maintain a large network.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree.
Strong track record of achieving sales goals.
Experience selling to companies with 1,000–5,000 employees in the benefits space.
Experiential knowledge of the Employee Benefits or Health and Benefits consulting industry and products.
Strong network and ability to access C‑suite executives.

Compensation & Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is \$97,000 to \$194,500, with performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
