Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Roses/Roses Express, your primary focus will be providing outstanding customer service. Your key responsibilities will include greeting customers, assisting them in selecting merchandise, processing transactions, and addressing inquiries about the store and its offerings. Additional tasks may involve unloading trucks, processing freight, organizing merchandise, and replenishing shelves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
Help maintain a clean and well-stocked environment to enhance the shopping experience.
Assist with unloading deliveries, organizing stock, and transporting items from the stockroom to the sales floor.
Stock shelves and recover merchandise as needed throughout the store.
Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle customer funds responsibly.
Stay vigilant of customer activity to ensure a safe shopping atmosphere.
Perform additional duties to support effective and profitable store operations.
Position Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to follow instructions and interpret retail operational documents is essential. Experience:
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, food service, grocery, or pharmacy is preferred. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and meet the physical demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability:
Must be available for a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills and Competencies:
Strong customer focus, ability to develop potential, results-oriented, excellent organizational and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, job knowledge, and relationship management. Working Conditions: Retail store environment requiring extended periods of standing. Stockroom environment with temperature fluctuations. Frequent lifting and maneuvering of merchandise and displays. Exposure to dust and temperature extremes while unloading deliveries. Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends. Occasional use of ladders may be required.
