Relationship Banker

The Relationship Banker position is responsible for consulting with account holders to identify banking needs and refer them to appropriate branch personnel. This includes finding the right products to fit consumer needs, creating an account for a new client and resolving problems for established clients. A Relationship Banker can expect to spend a lot of time at a computer using bank software, processing paper documents, talking on the phone, and meeting people face-to-face. Relationship bankers report to the Branch Manager or VP of Retail Banking. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Opening & revising deposit accounts for consumers & business owners Assisting with IRAs Promote products & services as well as trouble shoot errors Ordering & reordering check products Serve as back up assistance to the Electronic Banking team Internet banking login errors Printing instant issue debit cards Raise & lower debit card/ATM limits Refer clients to merchant services Refer clients to apply for credit cards Issue gift card purchases Grant customer access to safe deposit box Assist in setting up auto transfers & drafts Placing stop payments Assist customers with bookkeeping, disputes & resolutions Receiving & processing wire transfer requests Process customer contact changes such as address, phone number, email, etc. Assist in answering incoming calls & transferring them to the appropriate bank personnel Assist in printing statements & account history information Open cases with Finastra for software support, as needed Review nightly reports, workbooks, or special projects Maintain Customer Service Standards Follow bank policies & procedures Assist with other duties as assigned Communication proficiency Customer focused Initiative Team oriented Time management Organized Detail oriented Problem solving capabilities This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees. This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines, email, electronic calendars, scanning devices, and 10-key calculator and currency and coin machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, squat, walk, and sit: use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad and reach with hands and arms. This job also requires the employee to occasionally lift at least 20 pounds. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work as needed. This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. High school diploma or equivalent Experience is preferred in customer contact and problem resolution, knowledge of industry rules and regulations, strong customer service skills, professional appearance, solid communication skills

both written and verbal, advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Bachelor's Degree.
