Responsibilities

Develops and articulates compelling business cases to diverse buyers

Develops strategic plans for penetration and retention of existing and new organizations that purchase WEgrid products

Cross-sells the full WIKA portfolio, with the focus on WEgrid

Filters the pool of targets and leads, prioritizes qualified targets and develops execution plan for successful prospecting, hunting and selling

Establishes the consultative sales role with key customers and multiple contacts within organizations to deliver insights and “challenger” knowledge to the sales process

Establishes new customer relationships by presenting WIKA as a technical consultant for PT&D solutions

Understands major market trends to align WIKA value propositions to stated and unstated customer needs

Provides leadership support to cross-functional teams consisting of product and application specialists, engineers, customer support, quality, and supply chain experts during major retention, penetration and acquisition sales activities

Provides market feedback, and advises on strategy and product development for key markets and customers

Enables full transparency to sales efforts via CRM by updating accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities in a timely and thorough manner

Maintains up-to-date and adequate pipeline

Participates in National, Regional, and local trade shows and association events

Files monthly sales report, advance itinerary, and expense reports on a timely basis

Utilizes WIKA sales process tools

Initiates and participates in continuous improvement efforts related to sales

Ability to support up to 70% overnight travel

Travels internationally on occasion

Contributing WEgrid Team member

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical field including Engineering and/or A.S in Business or Technical field

5+ years’ experience in sales/marketing/engineering in B2B industrial environment preferred

Experience in Power Transmission and Distribution is preferred

Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and contact management or CRM software)

Excellent communication, writing, listening and presentation skills

Sales knowledge & experience

Negotiation skills and attention to detail

Basic understanding of customer contracts
