Responsibilities

Develops Marketing and "go to market" Strategies for defined Market Segments together with global Market Segment Management (Business Plans)

Defines and executes business development and sales activities to grow profitable revenue within the market

Defines target customers, key messaging, sales channels (if needed) and required marketing programs

Adapts the global strategy of the market segment, definition of the local product and application portfolio according to market/customer needs

Provides market leadership to cross-functional product management, sales, and operations teams involved in the execution of the market strategy

Manages project teams and identifies plan to develop the market segment with a strong focus on future growth and the identification of new growth opportunities

Coordinates and owns local market penetration and marketing activities

Performs and maintains Market/Segment Analysis (market size, potential, new markets/trends…)

Participates in a global network (matrix organization) to ensure a coordinated development of the segment

Partners with product management and marketing communications to assist new product release planning within the market segments

Ensures maximum market potential through in-depth understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and market requirements for current, new and future markets; Defines and develops marketing strategies that will win in the marketplace through alignment with customer needs

Creates forecasts and projected growth in targeted segments, products or program groups to determine future target markets and applications.

Recommends product line/service improvements, new product/process development, and market diversification based on analysis of market needs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering. MBA preferred

Minimum of 7+ years progressive & successful sales and business development experience required

5+ years professional Experience in industry and markets

Credible and professional network within the industry

Excellent analytical, research, presentation, writing and communication skills including the ability to take complex ideas and concepts and effectively communicate them

Strong financial acumen and strong analytical skills in business metrics and forecast modeling

Ability to quickly design realistic action plans to affect change and effectively assign and manage tasks to accomplish goals

Excellent networking skills and the ability to build trusted and collaborative relationships

Excellent PC skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to identify and develop new and creative channels for revenue generation and obtaining new business

Willingness to travel national and international
