
Overview
The Golf Shop Merchandiser is responsible for the planning, presentation, and performance of all golf shop merchandise. This role ensures the golf shop delivers a high-quality retail experience that aligns with the Club’s brand, supports member satisfaction, and drives retail revenue. The Merchandiser works closely with Golf Operations, Professional Staff, and Club Leadership to manage product selection, inventory flow, vendor relationships, and visual presentation standards. Responsibilities
Merchandise Planning & Buying Support: Assist with seasonal merchandise planning and product selection. Help evaluate sales trends and member buying patterns. Support vendor relationships and product ordering processes. Track product performance and recommend reorders or markdowns. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and organization. Assist with receiving, tagging, and stocking merchandise. Monitor sell-through rates and aging inventory. Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts. Visual Merchandising: Maintain attractive, clean, and organized retail displays. Execute seasonal floor sets and product rotations. Ensure merchandise is displayed to maximize visibility and sales. Maintain brand standards consistent with Club image and expectations. Operational Support: Assist with POS transactions and retail reporting as needed. Support promotional planning and retail marketing initiatives. Participate in Club events and member engagement activities. Qualifications
Retail or merchandising experience preferred (golf industry a plus). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong visual merchandising awareness. Customer service and member-facing experience preferred. Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to ~30 lbs). Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
