The Object Storage Service team is on the lookout for hands-on engineers who are eager to tackle challenging problems in distributed systems, large-scale storage solutions, and services with high availability. Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in designing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Expertise in Java or C++ programming languages.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
Strong understanding of Linux kernel and networking protocols, including Ethernet, IP, TCP, and HTTP.
In-depth knowledge of system performance and hardware acceleration techniques.
Proficient in data structures, algorithms, and the fundamentals of distributed systems.
Experience with databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
Experience in building multi-tenant infrastructure is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
As a technical leader, you will drive the software design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. You should be a skilled coder and a distributed systems generalist, with the ability to delve into any part of the technology stack and design complex system interactions. You will be expected to establish software architecture focusing on performance and leveraging hardware acceleration wherever possible.
If you have a strong background in system performance and have developed highly efficient software stacks in Java or C++, we want you to apply. Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $96,800 to $251,600 annually, and may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
