The Object Storage Service team is seeking passionate, hands-on engineers who are eager to tackle challenging problems in distributed systems, large-scale storage, and highly available services. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in developing and managing large-scale, highly available distributed systems. Proven expertise in Java or C++ programming languages. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python. In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel and protocols including Ethernet/IP, TCP, and HTTP. Strong understanding of system performance and hardware acceleration techniques. Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and foundational concepts of distributed systems. Experience with databases, storage solutions, and distributed persistence technologies. Exceptional problem-solving and performance optimization skills. Experience in building multi-tenant infrastructures is an added advantage. Responsibilities: As a technical leader, you will be responsible for the software design and development of critical components and features for the Object Storage Service. You should possess strong coding skills and a broad understanding of distributed systems, allowing you to delve into any part of the stack or low-level systems design. You will define software architecture with a focus on performance, leveraging hardware acceleration when feasible. Ideal candidates will have a background in system performance and you will prioritize simplicity and scalability while thriving in a collaborative, agile work environment. Salary and Benefits: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. Eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
