The Object Storage Service team is seeking talented engineers who are excited about addressing complex challenges in distributed systems, large-scale storage, and highly available services. Qualifications:
Over 10 years of experience in delivering and operating highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
Strong programming skills in Java or C++.
Familiarity with scripting languages, particularly Python.
Thorough understanding of the Linux kernel and network protocols (Ethernet/IP/TCP/HTTP).
Expertise in system performance optimization and hardware acceleration techniques.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and principles of distributed systems.
Experience with databases, storage solutions, and distributed persistence technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Experience in developing multi-tenant infrastructure is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
As a technical leader, you will oversee the software design and development of critical components and features of the Object Storage Service. Your strong coding skills and comprehensive understanding of distributed systems will enable you to navigate the entire stack and orchestrate intricate distributed interactions. You will define software architecture focused on performance and make the most of hardware capabilities whenever possible. A solid background in performance-centric software development in Java or C++ is ideal. You should value simplicity and scalability, and be comfortable collaborating in an agile environment while demonstrating a willingness to continuously learn.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $96,800 and $251,600 per annum, including eligibility for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation. Oracle offers a competitive salary structure that reflects variations in experience, skills, market conditions, and locations.
