Gain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of available produce to make informed suggestions. Assist in preparing beautiful produce platters and trays for our customers. Inform customers about seasonal produce specials and in-store promotions. Recommend products that meet customers' needs to ensure satisfaction. Accurately prepare, package, label, and manage merchandise inventory. Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking action when necessary. Label, stock, and uphold inventory standards in the department. Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager. Maintain a positive attitude for an enjoyable shopping experience. Stay informed on current and upcoming specials, seasonal items, and promotions. Ensure proper temperature levels in cases and coolers are maintained and document regular updates. Prioritize safety by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management. Conduct regular equipment inspections, reporting any needed repairs to appropriate personnel. Promptly notify management of any incidents involving customers or employees. Report safety risks, illegal activities, and concerns to management for resolution. Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing stress positively. Handle conflicts with composure and cooperation. Act with integrity and honesty regarding customer and business information. Follow instructions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer or business issues. Offer support to all customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and senior adults. Perform essential job functions effectively with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Ability to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction). A current food handlers permit is required upon employment.
