Perform high-quality nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying Operate and maintain GE nuclear medicine equipment and associated imaging systems Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner and archive images in Radnet / Merge Unity Coordinate with on-site radiologists and the lead technologist to ensure timely, safe patient care Float to nearby Mercy Downtown when needed to provide coverage and continuity of services Participate in rotating call and weekend coverage to support 24/7 imaging needs Follow safety protocols and maintain required certifications to protect patients and staff Qualifications
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB - required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) - required At least 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience Comfortable performing cardiac imaging, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies Experience with PACS and EMR systems, specifically Radnet, Merge Unity, and Cerner Able to float to Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles) and participate in rotating call and weekend coverage No IV starts required for this role Education
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and imaging protocols Proficiency with SPECT imaging and interpretation workflow Hands-on experience with GE imaging equipment Familiarity with PACS systems (Radnet, Merge Unity) and Cerner charting Strong patient-care and communication skills Detail-oriented approach to image acquisition, labeling, and documentation Ability to multitask in an acute care environment and collaborate with radiologists Benefits
