Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Day); rotating call every 3rd weekend — Saturday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM in Janesville, WI (Rotating weekends)
Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare and educate patients, ensuring they meet procedure requirements and are comfortable throughout the exam
- Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk to patients, staff, and the public
- Operate nuclear medicine and associated equipment, selecting appropriate parameters per protocol
- Position and immobilize patients safely and compassionately to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Perform venipuncture, establish and maintain venous access, and prepare/administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately
- Evaluate image and data quality, process digital data for display, and submit images for physician review
- Document all procedure details in the EMR and complete required records in PACS/RIS
- Report and document safety incidents and adverse events per protocol
- Order radiopharmaceuticals per vendor-specific protocols and assist PET services as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program (required)
- CNMT or ARRT(N) certification (required)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- Proven skill with venipuncture and IV access for radiopharmaceutical administration
- Experience with PACS, RIS, and EMR documentation workflows
- Comfortable with rotating weekend call (every 3rd weekend) and occasional travel to Janesville for Saturday coverage
- Strong attention to radiation safety, patient care, and image quality
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear medicine procedures and radiopharmaceutical preparation/administration
- Radiation safety principles and best practices
- Venipuncture and maintaining venous access
- PACS and RIS operation, image archiving, and submission
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation and medication reconciliation
- Patient positioning and immobilization techniques
- Image evaluation, processing, and quality control
- Vendor-specific radiopharmaceutical ordering and scripting basics
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams
