Pay:
$18.00/hour or more (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday–Saturday, 1st shift 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 2nd shift 1:30pm -10:30pm
Must be flexible to work 10–12 hour shifts as needed
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Crater / Shipping Crate Builder
to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for building and assembling custom wooden crates, boxes, and pallets used for packaging, shipping, and storage of materials and equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using hand and power tools, can follow specifications or blueprints, and understands the importance of quality and safety in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build and assemble
custom wooden crates, boxes, and pallets
for shipping various materials and equipment
Measure, cut, and assemble lumber using
hand and power tools , including saws, drills, and nail guns
Follow blueprints, packing instructions, and product dimensions to create
custom-sized crates
Securely package items using padding, bracing, and fasteners to prevent damage during transport
Inspect finished crates for
quality, stability, and compliance
with shipping standards
Label, stage, and prepare crates for shipping or storage
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in
woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing assembly
Proficient with
hand and power tools
(saws, drills, nail guns, tape measures)
Strong measuring, cutting, and layout accuracy
Knowledge of packaging, crating, and shipping procedures
Ability to read and follow work instructions or basic blueprints
Attention to detail and strong safety awareness
Ability to lift, move, and handle
heavy materials
throughout the shift
