Overview
The Senior Account Executive supports the agency Shopper Marketing team, and leads client programs from beginning to end. In this role, you will serve as a lead agency contact for a major CPG client on assigned projects with limited supervision, ensuring objectives, timelines and budgets are met. After 3-4 years in the industry, the Sr. Account Executive plays a more senior role on the account management team and demonstrates critical thinking skills to identify program needs and provide recommended solutions. The SAE is dialed in to the competitive landscape and has a firm grasp on the client’s category, industry, and business. The SAE is learning to push creative ideas further and is beginning to evaluate client assignments and briefs with a strategic eye.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities
Develop strong and effective relationships with clients with ability to offer counsel in situations where necessary
Quickly become familiar with client’s brand (requirements, messaging, creative) and effectively work with internal teams to ensure programs are following client protocol
Serve as creative and executional project lead from start to finish (this includes brief development, program estimation, budget tracking and reconciliation, creative/program recaps)
Collaborate with other account teammates, creative, and/or external teams to develop marketing programs and solutions for client
Support team with generating strategic and well thought out approaches to creative and program executions
Manage program timelines, keeping account team members and client teams aware of any deviations
Continue educating self and team on industry trends, Shopper trends, and the retail media landscape
Support team with proofing to ensure all client’s brand standards are met
Organize and lead client facing presentation decks and meetings, preparing all relevant documents
Keep team updated on ongoing day-to-day programs, client news and other relevant account details through maintaining and owning status document
Serve as a team/agency ambassador to promote omnichannel solutions to client initiatives
Develop a thorough understanding of the program scope with the ability to establish and manage budgets
Compile and interpret program results, summarize findings, and work with senior team members to recommend program enhancements and/or changes to improve going forward
Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Demonstrate passion for highest quality of work
Act as a role model and mentor for more junior staff, including AE’s, AAE’s and Interns
Collaborate with staff outside of core team when needed to enhance program, such as creative, new business or other internal management where relevant
NOTE:

QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications
3-4 years Agency experience; 1-2 years Shopper Marketing Experience
Proven account management skillset in creating, maintaining, and enhancing client relationships
Thorough understanding of agency processes
Experience managing Shopper programs (digital, print, in-store, omnichannel)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate passion for all aspects of the agency’s business
Comfortable setting deadlines and sticking to them
Team oriented and willingness to handle multiple projects at one time
Able to articulate business problems and challenges and work towards a solution
Independent thinker with exceptional teamwork skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients, internal staff in all departments and vendors
The ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience preferred in the marketing agency industry
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Depending on the client, this role may have some supervisory responsibilities overseeing an AE or AAE.
Specific Skills:
Microsoft Office (Proficient to excellent)
