About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission-driven organization, which is dedicated to advocating for children experiencing abuse or neglect. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, providing both strategic and operational leadership to achieve the organization's goals. This role involves close collaboration with the Board of Directors to enhance governance and organizational effectiveness, overseeing high-quality advocacy programs, and ensuring compliance with national and state standards. The Executive Director will also be responsible for cultivating relationships with community partners, funders, donors, and stakeholders to support fundraising efforts and will provide visible leadership across the organization's various office locations.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in relevant fields such as social work, psychology, or public administration, and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in nonprofit or volunteer-driven organizations. The role requires a proven track record in fundraising, financial oversight, and organizational management, as well as strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with boards, community leaders, and stakeholders, and a deep commitment to the mission of advocating for children’s best interests. An adaptable leadership style grounded in integrity and accountability is essential, as is the willingness to maintain a visible leadership presence and to be available for evening and weekend commitments as necessary.
