The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) , established in 1969, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing the field of aviation maintenance through exceptional education and training. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM is a cornerstone in the aviation industry, accounting for 20% of all students attending FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schools across the country. This role is for leaders who have successfully guided students from enrollment to certification and employment through strong team leadership and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Student Services and Career Services teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality student support
- Drive student retention and persistence strategies using proactive outreach, coaching, and data-informed interventions
- Oversee certification readiness, ensuring students complete required academic and FAA certification milestones prior to graduation and ensure timely program completion and graduation clearance
- Lead career readiness and job placement efforts, monitoring placement metrics and employer engagement
- Partner with Academics, campus leadership, and corporate teams to align strategy and improve outcomes
- Monitor and report performance metrics related to retention, certification, graduation, and placement
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in Student Services, Career Services, Student Success, or related education support roles
OR
3+ years in aviation education leadership - Demonstrated success improving retention, certification completion, and job placement outcomes
- Experience working in metrics-driven, performance-focused environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus
What We Offer
