Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join the leadership team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta’s most prestigious neighborhoods, this 42‑story tower has over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms + residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a lavish 15,000 square foot Spa, and 3 food & beverage outlets, including a 3‑meal restaurant, bar, and in‑room dining.

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager.

As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will oversee commercial strategies for the hotel, improving performance by aligning strategy and business processes.

Hilton’s Commercial Services organization drives sales, revenue, marketing, catering, events management, call centers, and analytics—core to profitable growth.

What will I be doing? The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful for the Americas, and leading the Hotel Sales and Marketing process. Key deliverables are moving the business analytics and processes to a predictive and prescriptive approach to drive performance, including developing and communicating commercial strategies, and analyzing revenue performance against goals.

Produce the hotel’s Annual Multi‑Year Commercial Strategy Plan in partnership with on‑property leaders and regional support

Connect the performance needs for the hotel with Hilton Enterprise solutions in each key segment

Set strategy and deliver revenues—including group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient, and leisure transient

Work with Commercial Leadership to ensure Business Review Guidelines (current to +5 years) and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies maximize pricing components and market share

Support B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, PR, and communications; guide e‑Commerce teams to accurate, effective online content

Establish optimal business mix, review and validate revenue forecasts, develop demand‑period strategies, and approve retail and group pricing strategies

Work with Executive Committee to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets

Develop and execute departmental expense budget and forecasts

Maintain detailed, real‑time knowledge of competitor and market activity

Execute the Sales and Catering Sales annual SIP (Sales Incentive Program)

Leadership

Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales & Marketing Optimization Process, converting outcomes into actionable strategies

Contribute to annual Commercial Cadence communication on performance drivers quarterly and semi‑annually

Consistently conform to Hilton brand standards and corporate identity

Recruit and retain all sales and marketing roles

Lead, engage, and develop team members, including performance development and Career Development Plans

Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports and provide feedback for dotted‑line reports, including:

Group Sales

Business Transient Sales

Leisure Sales

Catering Sales

Marketing

Facilitate a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals

Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations

Own performance and commercial activity reporting for the hotel

Present commercial strategies to key business partners and ownership groups, ensuring transparency and relevance

Liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales, regional support, and brand teams

Build strong relationships with CVB, community influencers, and 3rd‑party travel partners

Maintain high engagement with customers across all sales segments

Support high‑impact site visits and pre‑convention meetings

Support sales managers’ travel into feeder markets

What are we looking for? Required qualifications:

Hotel Sales, Catering, or Marketing Experience

Leadership management Experience

Ability to travel

Experience in hotel management or related industry

Highly professional oral and written communication skills

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office

Ability to perform critical analysis

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with business strategy, planning, and plan development

Ability to speak multiple languages
