Job Goal Provide skillful and productive operation of the Foundation Office in order to assure a positive impact on the Independence School District.
Performance Responsibilities
A history of overseeing development and communications activities with direct participation in solicitation of major donors and philanthropies
Experience developing campaign strategies and successfully executing fundraising campaigns
Experience managing a staff and budget, working with a board and demonstrated success addressing complex issues in a collaborative manner
Provide leadership and direction for lead staff, setting an effective agenda and ensuring performance goals are met and set
Provide guidance for program activities, fundraising and donor management, business development and partnership activities, including outreach, volunteer coordination and partnerships development
Manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization
Supervise daily operations in Accounts Payable/Purchasing, Accounts Receivable and Accounting
Design and implement program evaluation strategies
Sustain and grow program and services
Represent the organization to the public, key stakeholders and business partners
Plan and implement the annual calendar of activities including fundraising initiatives, special events and the official administrative acts
Strategic planning and leadership
Other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment The Director of Foundation will be employed for a twelve-month position. The salary and work year will be established annually by the Board of Education.
Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated by the immediate supervisor using the Independence School District Supervisor Evaluation.
