The
Employer Relations Specialist
is a full-time position that supports the Bryan School of Business and Economics’ mission to connect students with meaningful professional opportunities by cultivating, maintaining, and expanding relationships with employers, alumni, and community partners. Reporting to the Employer & Corporate Relations Manager, this position plays a critical role in executing employer engagement initiatives, coordinating signature events, managing data reporting, and supporting workforce development efforts that enhance student placement outcomes.
The Employer Relations Specialist serves as a collaborative bridge between employers, students, faculty, and staff, advancing the school’s strategic priorities of workforce readiness, industry partnerships, and community engagement. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.
1 year of experience in employer relations, recruitment, career services, human resources, marketing, or related field.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in employer relations, recruiting, career services, human resources, marketing or related field.
Master’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.
Experience with CRM or data tracking systems.
Experience in event planning and execution.

Employer Engagement and Partnership Development
Conduct proactive outreach to local, regional, and national employers to expand internship, part-time, and full-time job opportunities for Bryan School students.
Coordinate follow-up communication with employers to enhance participation in student recruiting and engagement activities.
Partner with the Employer and Corporate Relations Manager to identify strategic growth industry sectors and align engagement efforts accordingly.
Support implementation of an Employer Lifecycle Model to track, evaluate, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
Percentage Of Time: 40%
Event and Program Coordination
Assist in planning and executing Bryan School employer events, including the Company Spotlight Series, Professional Development Conference, Company Mixer, and industry-specific Careers in Finance hiring event.
Support the creation and delivery of virtual employer events and programming for online undergraduate and graduate students.
Collaborate with faculty, program directors, and student organizations to align events with academic disciplines and career outcomes.
Develop and maintain the Bryan School Job and Internship Board.
Maintain consistent communication with employers, ensuring an excellent partner experience before, during, and after events.
Percentage Of Time: 15%
Data, Reporting, and Outcomes Tracking
Collect, track, and analyze data on employer engagement, event participation, and student placement outcomes.
Maintain accurate records within the school’s CRM system and contribute to quarterly employer engagement reports and dashboards.
Percentage Of Time: 10%
Alumni and Community Partnership Development
Assist in identifying and cultivating alumni-employer relationships to support recruitment, mentorship, and alumni-led professional development initiatives.
Engage community organizations to enhance employer visibility and regional workforce development collaborations.
Percentage Of Time: 5%
Communication and Bryan School Representation
Draft employer-facing communications, event invitations, and promotional materials that strengthen the Bryan School’s brand as a talent and partnership hub.
Serve as a professional and engaging representative of the Bryan School in all employer and community interactions.
