About the Role A growing clinical laboratory is seeking a
Sales Specialist
to join its team. This role focuses on increasing the volume of compliant and profitable lab specimens within an assigned territory through ongoing account management, business expansion in existing accounts, and development of new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to all compliance standards.
Meet and exceed territory growth objectives by developing new accounts and expanding business with existing clients.
Attend local and national conferences and tradeshows to generate leads and engage with prospective clients.
Understand account workflows and train staff on established procedures.
Utilize prospecting data to set qualified appointments within the designated territory.
Conduct regular visits to existing accounts.
Present laboratory services and products to potential clients.
Close new business opportunities.
Maintain a robust pipeline through account growth, referrals, and cold calling.
Collaborate with internal teams, including laboratory, billing, and clinical support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: At least 1 year of medical sales experience
Skills & Attributes:
Strong interpersonal skills with a natural sense of empathy, self-awareness, and sales drive
High ethical standards and integrity
High energy with the ability to rapidly develop sales
Proven outside sales experience, including cold calling, closing deals, and delivering presentations
Demonstrated track record of continued sales growth
Ability to understand and communicate clinical and technical product information
Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement processes
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively
Experience managing a large geographical territory
Ability to work independently and remotely from a home office
