What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Serve as the main point of contact for the Medical Claims Review team, handling inquiries via phone, fax, and email

Resolve escalated customer service calls and assist medical providers and claims adjusters with inquiries

Provide information on payment status and explain bill review decisions using relevant data

Conduct audits of medical bills for accuracy and process refund requests as necessary

Communicate next steps for appeals and ensure compliance with business rules and fee schedules

What is Required (Qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalency

Minimum of three years of medical office experience

Successful completion of medical terminology and medical coding courses

Prior customer service experience

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Medical bill coding or auditing experience

Certified Professional Coder-Payer (CPC-P) designation

Good knowledge of medical bill review procedures and state guidelines

Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
