Summary:
The Director – Energy Banking Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of upstream, midstream, downstream, and/or oilfield services clients in Huntington’s Energy Banking vertical within the Corporate Banking group (First Line). The Director – Energy Banking Portfolio Manager will work closely with Relationship Managers as well Credit Risk in support of new deal execution, proactive monitoring of the portfolio, and identification and mitigation of credit risks. The candidate will bring industry knowledge and experience to drive portfolio risk management and deal execution and support the strategic initiatives of the business.

Preferred locations are Houston, Dallas, TX, Columbus, OH, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Underwrite, close, and monitor complex broadly syndicated, club, and bilateral commercial loans in accordance with applicable Bank policies, procedures, and best practices.
Timely completion of portfolio administration activities, including periodic reviews, risk ratings, product renewals, delinquencies, exceptions, etc.
Identify and elevate emerging concerns as appropriate.
Attend client calls (virtual or in-person) with Relationship Management and other Bank partners, as applicable.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market/industry trends.
Support training and development initiatives for junior colleagues (Analysts & Associates).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
8 or more years of credit experience in a portfolio management / underwriting role in Energy and Reserve-Based lending.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Experience with syndicated, club, and bilateral commercial loans
Exempt Status:
Yes (= not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
